The Coney Island Polar Bear Club has been meeting for winter swims at this location for over 100 years.
Every New Years Day, the Coney Island Polar Bear Club attracts thousands of onlookers as well as fellow cold-water swimming enthusiasts from around the world, as they enjoy their biggest swimming day of the year to help raise money for the Special Olympics.
